About the project

The brief and the answer

The brief was simple: tell people about a stylish, beautiful photo studio in a stylish, beautiful way. So instead of listing advantages we filmed a minute in the life of the studio as it looks on its best shooting day. The film moves through the rooms like chapters: the “modular studio” — a set with a clothing rail, pampas grass, a floor lamp and pink folding chairs that can be rebuilt for any idea; “video/photo, light, effects” — the crew with fixtures, a wind machine, haze and neon tubes; a new hall with white drapery and dried flowers; “events” — a talk with a wall-sized projection; and “community” — a shared table with pizza under the moment sign. The chapter titles are not laid over the picture: they live inside the frame as glowing neon lettering, so the transitions read as a guided tour rather than as captions. We shot in the studio’s own palette — warm red and orange light, palm-leaf shadows, green and violet rims. Everyone on screen is a real photographer, make-up artist, designer or studio resident, each busy with their own work. A week and a half from idea to finished film.
