Uniter — a business meeting with no trousers

About the project

The brief and the answer

Uniter is a networking app that introduces entrepreneurs to one another. The client came to us from another city and handed the whole thing over: the brief was “show us that it works”, and everything after that was ours. We made a sketch. A young entrepreneur in a suit paces his flat with a phone while, one by one, the notes on his corkboard get struck through in red — “meet the investors at 15:00”, “business conference at 11:00” — every meeting falls through. So he opens Uniter, picks the goal “scale the business”, and the app answers “Your meeting is ready!”: on the laptop screen appears a very solid Ilya Fyodorovich, moustache, suit and tie. Our hero panics and straightens his own tie; the conversation goes beautifully. And in the final shot the camera swings round to Ilya Fyodorovich’s side of the call: jacket, shirt, tie and pocket square — and bare legs under his own kitchen table. Exactly what the end card promises: “Uniter — where entrepreneurs meet without leaving home.” Two weeks for the whole project.
