About the project

The brief and the answer

Spend time together as a family? Mum wants to go bowling and dad wants billiards? The kids would rather have air hockey or the arcade? All of that, plus much more, a cinema and a food court — at the Epicentre mall. We built the film on exactly that contradiction: the family walks in together, then everyone gets what they came for, and by the end they are side by side again. Mum rolls a ball down the lane, dad breaks the rack, the children battle over air hockey and race the driving cabinets, and they all come back together over a pizza and in the cinema with buckets of popcorn. We shot inside the centre’s own halls, with its neon and its lighting, and kept the pace high: the faster the activities change, the clearer the point that one evening here is enough for all of them.
