The brief and the answer

Dom Tekhniki — the name of this elegant place speaks for itself. Every detail of the interior, every movement of the staff, every combination of flavours, the whole atmosphere: all of it is measured to the smallest degree. Our film is just as exact. In the first scene the actors point at precisely the dish they want. Watch the speed at which the waiter takes the order and sends it through — on a typewriter standing right there in the room — and if you look closely, he does not make a single mistake (we checked). The chef cuts the freshest meat into perfectly proportioned pieces in one movement. There are exactly 353.33 ml of liquid in the glasses, and the order was served in exactly 22 seconds. Fundamental, is it not? We shot in a wide cinematic format, in the room’s own evening light, and asked the same of every frame: symmetry, exact composition, not one unnecessary movement.
