Vosem Sadov
Fresh. Local. Asparagus from field to plate in fifteen seconds
About the project
The brief and the answer
A commercial for Vosem Sadov, a farm growing asparagus in the Kaliningrad region. The brand’s line is short — “Fresh. Local.” — and we built the whole film so that the line proves itself, without a single voice-over promise. Fifteen seconds run as one unbroken chain: an aerial of patchwork fields at sunset, a gloved hand cutting a young spear straight out of the soil with a knife, pickers in the farm’s green aprons working the rows, spears going into blue crates, and a few shots later that same asparagus is on rye toast under hollandaise — on a bright table in morning sun, beside lilies of the valley in a glass. The ending returns to the field: two bunches labelled “Fresh asparagus” in the hands of the same young woman. We shot at the height of the short asparagus season — the lilies of the valley in frame bloom in exactly those weeks — so “local” here is meant literally: one field, one spring, one harvest.
