About the project
The brief and the answer
We took a risk and dived into an adventure well outside our usual work: we shot the short film “Sharlatan” for the ArtMasters Regions championship. More than half of the Franema team took part, and together with the championship finalists and the best people in Kaliningrad’s film industry we made something genuinely strong — worthy of representing an entire federal district. We shot in a winter field: a chum, machinery in the snow, a drone over the tracks, and a full film unit where everyone had their own area of responsibility. The end titles that won the audience over were made by our own Polina Titorova, and the unforgettable atmosphere came from Ivan Lazorin’s score. The film immediately took two championship awards for sound. The full film is available on Okko.
