About the project

The brief and the answer

Behind one good banner frame sits an enormous amount of work. This was our first project with a client as large as Yandex — a brand known across the whole CIS. The brief was as short as it gets: one photograph for a huge banner on the facade of a building in Kazakhstan. In the studio we worked through backdrops and outfits — blue, grey, light grey and green screen, a hoodie, a longsleeve and a sweatshirt — shot dozens of takes with food in frame, and painted the cafe interior behind the model over the green screen with a neural network. The funny part: we are based in Kaliningrad and will most likely never see that banner ourselves :)
