About the project
The brief and the answer
When people start saying “ah, that’s the Franema style”, it is time to shoot in a different one. For this series of TV commercials for Fabrika Protsessov we deliberately dropped our usual manner and went for genre instead: two small thrillers about an ordinary working day. In “The Office” a manager is drowning in calls and paperwork — green and red light split the frame, the clock crawls towards twelve, stacks of documents grow before your eyes, red loss figures fly past and colleagues bury her in sheets of paper. In “The Plant” a production director is hunted by messages: the parts have to be ready by tonight, cut the overheads, the batch came out defective, you are late — and he races through the shop floor until the complaints merge into a single shout. Both films open on a card reading “all events and characters are fictitious” and arrive at the same line: “We know how to fix this.” Behind it stand Fabrika Protsessov, a programme of the Regional Centre of Labour Productivity Competences, and the Moy Biznes centre of the Kaliningrad Region.
